NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Garden Tour Committee has decided to postpone the this year's tour until summer of 2021. We’re all hoping that things will be resolved well before June, but we’re in uncharted territory these days and there are too many uncertainties and risks right now to make planning feasible.

What our members say...

Bruce Hegna

I found joining ANLD when I was still taking PCC classes helped me to instantly meet many other designers, all of whom were very welcoming.  As a home-based business owner, it can be daunting to suddenly  "be on your own"--the network & support that ANLD provides was crucial for me. The programs always yield new professional contacts and relevant information. Volunteering at the annual garden tour provides a great way to meet the public and a personal opportunity to view each of the quality landscape designs that our members have produced!

A Member of ANLD

I've gained the vast majority of my Landscape Design knowledge from Meetings, Workshops, and hanging out with my peers at ANLD activities: who to call to fabricate a steel gate, which contractor stays tight to a schedule, how to write a client proposal, where to get a Magnolia 'Moonglow'. It's easy to make friends while "working" on the Garden Tour, or organizing a conference, or attending a board meeting at somebody's cool garden. The pool of talent and experience among our members is astonishing. And they are as friendly as can be!

The Benefits of a Landscape Designer to a Home Owner

  • A well-planned yard can lower maintenance and provide year-round color and interest
  • A good design can add to a home's property value, and enhance overall neighborhood liveability
  • A landscape designer can see the hidden potential in your landscape
  • Expert planning from the beginning can reduce costly changes later.
